Canoe & Kayak
With a spectacular shore line Samui is blessed with a wealth of marine, animal and plant life. A kayak ride is the best way to explore Samui and its surrounding islands, beauty by sea. Half-day, day and overnight guided sea kayak trips are available through tours in Chaweng. Kayaks can also be rented at the beach.
Snorkelers can accompany their diving companions on the dive trips, or take a tour organised specially for snorkellers, take a trip arranged by local fishermen to one of the many surrounding islands, or just snorkel from the beaches and rock formations dotted around the Island. Whatever, the beauty of the coral and fish that can be seen through your mask is sensational.
Kiteboarding is one of the world’s fastest growing sports and combines. Windsurfing with stunt kite flying for some serious speed and excitement. During the windier months Kiteboarding Asia offer expert instruction on Koh Samui.
Sailing is very popular in Samui, as annually there is the international Koh Samui Regatta held off the Chaweng Beach. With its excellent weather conditions and a good all year round breeze, sailing here is near perfect. Yachts, catamarans and windsurf boards are available for rent by the local shops on the beach.

Diving into the Gulf of Thailand is an amazing experience for one and all. At Samui, you can learn to dive and can even become a certified diver with an international PADI diving license. Dive shops located in Chaweng, Lamai and Na Thon offer diving lessons at quite reasonable rates. Off the coast of this beautiful island lie fabulous underwater coral reefs, caves and incredible marine life.
Samui Go-Kart track is located on the main road in Bophut. There are three types of karts to choose from: The Fun Kart is suitable for all ages; The Pro Kart is for those who prefer a bit more speed. The Speed Kart is the ultimate adrenalin fix which is recommended for more experienced drivers.
Jet skis can be hired on many of the larger beaches. This gives an opportunity for you to ride the waves and see the island from a very different perspective.
just don’t expect any recognizable brand names. That said, the local brand bikes are perfectly suitable for a day out tackling the terrain. If you fancy an endurance test, then a simple circular route around the island probably suffices. Just remember to give yourself at least four or five hours, and make sure you’re back before dark.
Windsurfing equipment is available for rent from several watersport centers around the island. Lessons are available for beginner adults and children. Prices start from 300 baht per hour for equipment rental and from 500 baht for a one hour individual lesson (equipment included)
The Samui Driving Range is located between Chaweng and Bophut, about 200 meters from the main road next to Bandon Hospital. Facilities include covered driving tees, targets for practicing distance and accuracy, a putting green and snack bar.
Muay Thai (Thai Boxing)
Thai boxing is the national sport in Thailand and is recognized as being one of the toughest forms of martial arts in the world. You can watch professional Muay Thai at the Chaweng Stadium on Tuesdays and Fridays and also at the Lamai stadium on Wednesday and Saturdays.

These activities are practiced from the waterfalls of Namuang I and II, but you will also find them at the entry and exit of Chaweng. The ride lasts ½ hour, there are also longer rides.
